Your Leaders Are Carrying the Clinic - At What Cost?
What happens when the people who keep the business going, can't keep going?

Your leadership team is showing up. Picking up the slack. Mediating team issues. Managing rosters, performance, and morale—all while absorbing the emotional toll of a post-COVID / impending economic and workforce uncertainty.
But no one can lead effectively when they're mentally and emotionally overloaded.
Clinic owners lose more than just a person when a leader burns out. You lose stability, trust, and months of momentum.
This program keeps that from happening.

About Your facilitator
Dr Jessica Moore-Jones, BVMS, MBA, MSc
Dr Jess knows what it is like to make life and death decisions daily, to live with the emotional fallout in her teams, and front the public attention when it goes wrong.
As a senior leader in some of the country’s most scrutinised animal welfare organisations, she’s no stranger to impossible choices. From managing national shelter systems to fronting media during public welfare investigations, Dr Jess has been at the centre of high-stakes decisions that attract headlines, heat, and heartbreak.
She’s experienced what many leaders only talk about:
✔ Carrying the weight of a team on the edge
✔ Being the final decision-maker in moral grey zones
✔ Leading under constant scrutiny from the public, the press, and her own people
This is where Leading on Empty was born; not from theory, but from the lived experience of leading when it costs you something.
Having led some of the most emotionally draining organisations possible, in one of the highest risk professions in the world, Dr Jess gets it.
Today, she trains and advises leaders across high-pressure sectors, including healthcare, veterinary, government, education, and pharmaceutical organisations, on how to lead sustainably through emotional overload, decision fatigue, and impossible expectations.
Her approach blends:
-
Real-world leadership in emotionally loaded environments
-
Behavioural science and communication expertise
-
A no-BS coaching style that resonates with teams under strain
Dr Jess won’t offer vague platitudes or empty wellness strategies.
She’ll give your leaders practical, psychology-backed tools to lead when they’re tired, still care, and know that people are looking to them to hold it all together.
